OUR STORY
We are a group of students studying global perspectives from grade 10Â IGCSE of NPSI Singapore. Through our team project, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of sleep, which is an issue that is often neglected by society. We plan to highlight the physical and mental health effects of sleep deprivation. We would like to bring about change in the patterns of sleep of various individuals, for their physical and well being. We truly hope to encourage people to sleep for a longer amount of time to lead healthier and happier lives!
Our Aim
Promoting the importance of a good schedule and bringing about positive change in the patterns of sleep of different age groups in society.
Why is sleep important?
The importance of sleep is often neglected. However, it is necessary to get enough sleep to maintain good health throughout life. Sleep helps repair heart and blood vessels. Without sleep, the risk of heart and kidney diseases, diabetes and high blood pressure increases. Sleep also helps the brain function well and enhances learning and logical thinking. Additionally, in adolescents, sleep is important for effective growth and development.
